Biography

Ambassador Hisham EL-ZIMAITY, Former Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations and Multilateral Diplomacy, Egypt; Non-Resident Senior Fellow of RDCY Former Assistant to Foreign Minister for International Organizations & Multilateral Diplomacy and for American Affairs. He is currently a Board Member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs(ECFA) and member of Japan-Egypt Business Council(JEBC). He also served as delegate of Egypt to the United Nations in Geneva and New York. He was ambassador of Egypt to Japan, Hungary, Slovenia and Pakistan; and former diplomat to Sénégal, the Gambia& Cape Verde; to Belgium, Luxembourg & the European Union; and to France. He is also former director-dean at the Institute for Diplomatic Studies, (IDS); and director of the Cairo Centre for Training on Conflict Resolution & (Peacekeeping in Africa, (CCCRP).
