China-Russia Relationship: Partnership or Alliance ?
The 4th Eastern Economic Forum was successfully closed in Vladivostok, Russia on September 13. On the one hand, the Chinese and Russian heads of state once again cordially interacted with each other and reached agreements in terms of regional stability, economic and trade cooperation, which gives powerful strength to the development of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination. However, on the other hand, in the context of de-globalization, protectionism unilateralism, risks and opportunities coexist. China and Russia play vital roles in maintaining peace of the world. Therefore, whether the China-Russia relationship will continue to heat up and move toward the direction of “quasi-ally” in the future or not? How to synergize "The Belt and Road Initiative " with "Eurasian Economic Union "? For this reason, Mr. Sergey Glaziev, Counsellor to the President of the Russian Federation Putin, will visit RDCY with his new Chinese book and exclusively share his unique insights on China-Russia relationship.

Keynote Speaker: Sergey Glaziev now serves as Counsellor to the President of the Russian Federation Putin, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). He graduated from Central Economics and Mathematics Institute Soviet Academy of Sciences, Doctor of economic. He ever served as Minister of External Economic Relations, Director of the Economic Security Bureau of the Russian Federal Security Council, Chairman of the Foreign Economic and Trade Promotion Committee of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was a Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. He created the Eurasian Customs Union within the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) in 2008-2012 which was later transformed into the current Eurasian Economic Union. He was appointed as Counsellor to the President of the Russian Federation in June 2012. He has written more than 200 papers and academic works, and publishes one Chinese masterpiece in 2018, "The Lessons of Russian Reform: The Bankruptcy of Liberal Utopia and the Road to Creating "Economic Miracles ".
