On July 10, Mr. Sebastien Jean, director of French Center for Prospective Studiesand International Information (CEPII), visited Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY), and conducted a discussion with Zhou Luohua, deputy dean of RDCY, Yang Qingqing, assistant to the dean of RDCY, and Liu Ying, research fellow of RDCY. Both sides exchanged views on global hot issues such as the current international economic situation, China's economic reform, China-US trade frictions, China-EU cooperation, internationalization of the RMB, and the resolution of related issues and crises, and expressed their wish to continue to maintain good communication and more cooperation and exchanges.
Sebastien Jean is currently director of French Center for Prospective Studiesand International Information (CEPII) and Senior researcher of the French National Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He once worked for the Economic Department of the OECD, serving on the member of editorial board of several economic review magazines, and taught at several universities such as the Paris Institute of Political Studies. His main research areas include international trade, trade policy and international economic policy.
