Editor's Note: In response to the United States irresponsible remarks on China's human rights, CCTV gave an exclusive interview with John Ross, the senior fellow of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China (RDCY) on this issue.
On August 11, Liu Zhiqin, academic member of the Center for Global Governance Research Center, Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies, Renmin University of China (RDCY), gave an interview to CCTV-4, explaining that China had imposed sanctions on 11 US people related to Hong Kong issues. China's Foreign Ministry has announced sanctions against 11 Americans for their poor performance on Hong Kong-related issues. The sanction has sent three messages to the world: 1. The US plot of "Hong Kong Chaos" will never succeed; 2. Anything that undermines the stability of Hong Kong is unpopular; 3. The United States now faces a momentous choice in history for its acting in violation of the oath of the Declaration of Independence.
